Koi
One of our clients has a renowned collection of Koi. In this work a pencil on paper drawing was superimposed with photography of the water and a delicate ambient pattern in the digital environment. The work contemplates the peaceful grace of companionship.

About Series_12X12
Having been busy designing projects since 1972 it has long been my desire to produce artwork available to the general art collector. The studio projects have generally been out of reach of most collectors, weighing in at tons, and project prices ranging from thousands to millions of dollars. Due to the recent acquisition of industrial laser equipment for a large project, the opportunity presented itself to realize this life-long dream. Working with my design team partner of thirteen years, Christian Karl Janssen, the twelve-ex-twelve blocks are our first offering. The artwork begins with traditional studio methodologies such as drawing, painting and photography. Then in the digital environment they are collaboratively translated into the works in the series and executed by output to the lasers. He or I hand paint the works, or dye them, and then finish with lacquer or clear satin stain.
